Moss Tunstall is a fashion project grounded in process rather than spectacle, where clothing is approached as something to be worked on, lived in, and reconsidered. Rooted in painting and material experimentation, the label focuses on secondhand garments that are altered through colour, print, and touch. The aim is simple: to create pieces that feel personal, expressive, and a little unexpected, without overexplaining themselves.
The project took shape in 2019 through a mix of travel, relationships, and studio-based experimentation. What began as painting on old clothes evolved into small collections and collaborative campaigns, developed alongside photographers, stylists, and artists. Moss Tunstall grew quietly and organically, shaped by community and shared curiosity rather than traditional fashion timelines. At its core, it was always about making clothes that helped people feel more like themselves.
Since mid 2023, Moss Tunstall has been on pause due to a life-changing health crisis that has limited Ajay Jennings’ ability to produce new work. The project remains unfinished rather than closed. While inactive for now, the intention to return to Moss Tunstall in the future is still present, held with care and patience.
